The Bible Plugin retrieves the Biblical text and files from The Bible Brain (aka Digital Bible Platform (DBP) version 4).  In order for The Bible Plugin to work on your site, you will need to request and receive an API key from The Bible Brain.

• First, go to The Bible Brain site at https://www.faithcomesbyhearing.com/audio-bible-resources/bible-brain
• Click the button labeled, “Get your API key”.
• Complete the form with:
  Your name
  Your email address
• For the question, “How will you use the key?” you can reply with something like this:
  “I will share the Bible on my website using The Bible Plugin on mywebsite.com” (just replace the mywebsite.com with the actual URL of your website).
• You do not need to put anything in the “Application Name” or “Application URL” fields.
• You can add other questions or comments if you have them.
• Read the DBP License Agreement and select the checkbox that you have read it.
• Unless you are a robot, check the reCAPTCHA box to say that you are not a robot and complete the challenge if given.
• Then click the Submit button.
• Once submitted, it may take a few days but The Digital Bible Platform support team will email you with an API Key (a string of letters and numbers).  This API Key is specific to you and your website only, don’t share it with others.
